Sunset

by Carol Hancuh
(Eagan, Mn.)

This quilt has been made for the summer festival at our church. It will be raffled off on July 20, 2013.

I wanted to blend the colors of a vibrant sunset as if I were painting it. The lake was the perfect foreground to extend the sunset colors and once that was in, what could enhance a backwoods theme more than a deer, also gazing at the sunset. The water in the lake glistens with a shiny synthetic costume fabric I found at the local fabric store.

I hope you like this quilt as much as those buying tickets for the raffle.

WOW!!!
by: Carol Buck

I would love to do one quilt like this, but I haven't gotten up the nerve. I started over 20 years ago when everything was traditional. Slowly making the transition, but I have so much traditional fabric on my stash. It drives my husband nuts when he sees me starting another quilt with NEW fabric when I have quilt a stash already.

Pattern
by: Carol Hancuh

I'm sorry, but there is no pattern.

You can make one like this too. Think outside the box, be creative and you'll get there.

The sparkling water was done with shiny bridal veil cut in thin strips and sewn down the middle.

The Pattern for this quilt
by: June

How would I obtain the pattern for this quilt, I have a granddaughter that has just gotten a new apartment and this is exactly what she had described to me she wanted for her bedroom.
