The Quilting Gift That Keeps on Giving!

Our bee, like most quilting bees, gets together once a month to stitch and solve the problems of the world. We also get away a couple times a year for "Bee-treat".

Lately we've been staying at one Sandy's house (we call it her B&B, maybe that should be B&Bee???) for a weekend...always a very productive weekend, lots of quilts get pieced and laughter made.

Anyway, we pair up and as pairs are responsible for one meal during the weekend. Not a bad deal, if you ask me!

Now between the monthly get-togethers and annual bee-treats, we've got recipes for a whole slew of delicious taste sensations and have generally emailed the best ones to each other.

Now here's where the gift part comes in.

One year for Christmas, Terri (she whose never met a quilting tool or Dremel she didn't like - where's that Smiley emoticon when you need it!) assembled, printed and bound all of the recipes that we've shared that she could find.

She did a couple of really nice things with it, too.

1. First, it's bound so that it sits open when I'm using it. (I think you can get this kind of binding done at Kinko's...
2. She created the covers using quilt gift wrapping paper so it looks good...
3. Next, she laminated the covers so they don't get all yucked up when I'm cooking, and...
4. She took the time to sort the recipes into categories for us making them easier to find.

I can't tell you how many times I reach for this cookbook. It is my favorite in the kitchen, because every single recipe is...
