Hi Linda.

My suggestion is to contact the local quilt shops in your area...(I live south of you in Plainfield), or possibly the local quilt guilds. Shops generally have business cards from local long arm quilters and quite possibly have the quilts on display in their shop quilted by the local quilting talent so you can go in and see their work before calling.

Quilt guilds will have long arm quilters as members. They will have probably also seen work by the local long arm quilters in their most recent quilt shows.

Recommendations based on experience are the best. I quilt all my quilts myself on my Viking home machine and am unable to make a personal recommendation.

To my readers, if you can recommend a quilter in the area, please use the comment link below to share the pertinent information. Linda and I would both appreciate it!

Also, please weigh in...I've considered adding a directory of longarm quilters to this website as a service to both those who do quilting for hire and those who need it. What do you think? Are you interested in this type of information?

Thanks for sharing!

Piecefully,
