Selling quilt tops

by Lynn
(Jax FL)

Lynn asks...

How should I sell quilt tops? And for how much?

I have a bunch that my grandmother made but only want to keep a few.

Garage sale?

eBay?

And asking price?

Julie replies...

I have to admit that I'm totally clueless on this. I haven't sold a quilt, let alone a quilt top...and vintage at that!

To my readers, if you have experience selling quilt tops, please do share using the 'comments' link below. I appreciate you taking your time to share!

Lynn, if the tops are very old, you may want to check with an appraiser. You can find one at the Professional Association of Appraisers - Quilted Textiles website. They are listed by state.

I hope this helps at least a little bit.

Piecefully,
