Purple Majesty

This quilt is being gifted to my aunt for Christmas.

She loves the color purple. And we all know that purple's natural color compliment is yellow--which can be deadly in a quilt. Purple can be a cool color so hopefully, the sunny yellow and warm coral pink with balance out the color.

I really had fun making this quilt. It took me 12 go arounds on EQ7 until I got something that I liked that really captured the eye.

This quilt pushed my design skills and color usage quite a bit. Then all the feather quilting...on my new Juki, this quilt only took me 2 months from start to finish.

It's going to be hard for me to give it away!

Joy in Gifting Quilts

Although you find it hard to let go of such a masterpiece, I can assure you that the joy you'll receive from seeing your aunt's face when she shows everyone your gift will inspire you to make lots more quilts.

I've never found anyone that doesn't love getting a quilt made especially for them. This is one gift that will go on giving for a VERY LONG TIME!
