Ocean View

by Beth Christoffel
(Nokomis, FLorida)

A beautiful colorful, lively quilt, "Ocean View", is 64 inches by 84 inches and is one of two Raffle Quilts for the Venice Area Quilt Guild's upcoming "Quilting by the Gulf XVI - A Festival of Quilts".

The show, which features about 200 quilts of all sizes and formats, will be held on March 19 and 20, 2016 at the Venice Area Community Center, 326 S. Nokomis Av, Venice FL.

Also being featured is the first sanctioned "Row by Row" exhibit of pieces created to utilize the 2015 theme, H20.

"Ocean View" was free hand long arm quilted by national award winner, Brian Fackler. Each section contains a plethora of sea secrets: creatures, fish and shells.

Pieced by the Scrapbaggers Circle, and bound by Mary Johnson, it was created from a pattern in the book "Shoreline Quilts" by Cyndy Rymer.
