Mom and Dad's Feathered Star Quilt

My second try at a feathered star quilt!

My second try at a feathered star quilt!

I made this feathered star quilt for my parents for their anniversary several years ago. It is from one of the "Quilted for Christmas" books (I think that's the title) that used to get put out every year.

This was actually my second try at this particular feathered star quilt pattern...the first try was much brighter and will be mine...someday...when I pull it out of my UFO pile.

It was a lot of fun to make, I used EQ quilt program to convert the points on the feathered star to paper piecing and even the little log cabins... so this one went together very easily for the most part.

I quilted it myself. It was all done with a walking foot.

I think my parents really liked it because this quilt has hung in their family room ever since!
