Modified Logs and Patches

A long time ago, I had picked up a couple of large jelly rolls with the idea of using them to make a rag rug.

I never did start on that rug, so several years later, a friend of mine talked me into attending a beginning quilting course with her. The course taught how to do the Log Cabin Quilt block, and from then on, I was hooked!

This is my version of modifying the log cabin block with a little rail fence and variation of the normal patch blocks so that everything would fit together nicely.

This was definitely fun and I think it came out looking fairly decent. =o)

The sashing fabric is called Sprinkles.
