This original design by Audree Sells (a founding member of the Chaska Area Quilt Club) and Tracy Trevethan (of Tracy Trevethan Designs) measures 78" by 75". It is completely hand appliqued, hand embroidered and hand quilted.
It is a tour de force of vision, workmanship and guild member cooperation. Quite frankly, it leaves you speechless and breathless while standing in front of it, just trying to take in all the finely detailed hand work of the many participating guild members.
What talent there is in this guild!!!
Unfortunately, I and several thousand other ticket holders did not win this spectacular quilt when it was raffled off this past weekend at CAQC's biennial show, "Fall Splendor of Quilts". But I'm happy to report that the lucky winner IS a quilter and can thoroughly appreciate this treasure that is now her's.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!
Words just cannot do this quilt justice!
