I Can't Believe I Did This

by Mary D.
(Florence, MA)

This quilt is actually a Paula Nadelstern Pattern for a Kaleidoscope quilt. This is the only type of quilt top I have actually made by myself.

Years ago, my sister had to complete a quilt for me, and she has it listed here as "Never Say Never".

I just could not finish that quilt, for what ever reason I had.

When I saw these Kaleidoscopes, I asked my sister to make one for me, and she said "NO WAY", so I once again decided to make one for myself.

After months I completed my first, and started on another for a gift to my sister.

I have posted the one that will go to my sister, as soon as it finishes with the long arm quilter in October of this year. It is a 34"X34" wall hanging.

I do have another similar one listed on EBay as the mini quilt tops. We will see if people out there are as Kaleidoscope crazy as I am.

But it just goes to show, if you want something bad enough, you can do it.

Beautiful

I think your quilt is beautiful; the strong colors with the bright ones really contrast.

Amazing but I think I'm to chicken to try something like that.
