Baby Lock Crescendo

by Pat
(Brunswick OH USA)

I had a Solaris but didn’t like doing machine embroidery, so I switched to the Crescendo.

It’s a really good machine for piecing and quilting. Compared to the Solaris, though, it has drawbacks.

For example, it’s a difficult, awkward process to remove the stitch plate. Another drawback to the Solaris and the Crescendo is the Dual Feed attachment. Again, it’s another process to attach and remove. It, too, is awkward and, while quilting, the feet often fall off.

It would be great if Baby Lock developed an integrated dual feed/walking foot. Otherwise, I would rate the Crescendo a 4 out of 5 because most of the rest of the features are great and it makes a beautiful stitch.
