Nimble Thimble Quilters Guild

by Karen
(Cullman, Alabama)

The members of the Nimble Thimble Quilters Guild meet the second Friday of every month in the basement of the Colonel Cullman Museum at 9:00 A.M. in the city of Cullman.

Refreshments, a short business meeting, then our monthly quilt related program/demonstration follows.

Lots of good food, fellowship and learning go on at our meetings.

Don't forget to bring extra money for our monthly door prize drawings!! We also have a monthly drawing for a bunch of fat quarters.

If you wish to learn to quilt or just like looking at quilts, come and be with us, we'd love to have you. Hope to see you there!!!

My best friend of 52 yrs. died last year. She was retired from Hancock Fabric after 32 yrs. She was a talented lady that taught quilting. She left 52 large tubs of fabric she had intended to make quilts from to supplement her social security.
Soon after retiring she suffered a heart attack. a valve replacement and bypass surgery followed. She left two unmarried boys and a lot of fabric. I am trying to help them by selling the goods to buy her a headstone.
We are having a fabric, pattern, and book sale all day Saturday, the 8th., very good prices. Nothing over 5.00 dollars for a bag big enough to piece a king size quilt. I do not quilt, so this has been an experience for me.

Quilting Magazines
by: Gracie

My name is Gracie Loebler. I have a lot of quilting magazines that my mom had collected over the years that have patterns and instructions included. I do not want to throw these away if there is an organization that would like to have them.

Please let me know if your group might be interested in having these materials. I am in the Gardendale area and will be glad to meet someone to deliver them.

My number is 205-542-1111.

Thank you,
