Calico Cutters Quilt Guild actively encourages the art of quilt making in the area. Our guild meetings provide both educational and philanthropic activities for our local quilters, as well as, fostering fellowship and camaraderie.
We are honored to participate in many charitable activities. Reaching out to those in need is at the core of our quilting fellowship.
Members are asked to contribute to two projects on a regular basis:
Each month the guild participates in a charitable activity. These efforts have resulted in the following donations: paperbacks sent to our servicemen and women overseas, pillowcases for the ConKerr Cancer pillowcase project, pink pillowcases in support of women receiving treatments for breast cancer at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Baby Bundles to the migrant workers at Southern Chester County Hospital, placemats for Meals on Wheels, tote bags with school supplies for the local Headstart program, dresses, shorts and tee shirts sewn for the children at the Swaziland clinic in Africa, scarves, hats and gloves for the homeless shelters in the area.
- American Soldier quilts, and...
- "Kids Quilts" that go to the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County
The guild raises funds directly for the use of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County through the sales of our raffle quilts.
