Close-up detail, you can see how soft the its fur is, wonderful use of fabric
Notice the flower is quilted in the background
I saw this quilt made by Barbara Larson, of the Chaska Area Quilt Club, at their biennial show in early October. It knocked my socks off!
On the sign displayed with this quilt, Barbara wrote...
"I love cats and Maggie Walker did a great job designing these cats to look real. This project did take me about 10 years to finish. At times I would set it aside to work on other projects."
This quilt is all hand appliqued. The fabric choices are F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! And sticking with a project for 10 years...INCREDIBLE!
Don't forget to click on the thumbnails above to see close-up quilt pictures of a few of the appliqued quilt blocks. Notice how extra leaves and flowers have been quilted in to add to this quilt's visual beauty.
A truly captivating piece of work and accomplishment!
Congratulations, Barbara!
