Cathy's Birthday Quilt

by Cathy Lucas
(Plainfield, IL)

Sandy and I saw this quilt in the JJ Stitches booth at the Rosemont Quilt Festival in Chicago a couple of years ago.

It was stunning then, and it looks even better now that it is finished and in MY house. I never tire of looking at this quilt. Six of my seven bee-mates have made this quilt and one lady even made two!!

Beautiful work
by: Mark kelley

Love all the work that you ladies put into your quilts. I had seen this quilt on Seeing With Nancy and became obsessed with it. I had found the book by the author that had recreated it and am now in the process of amassing more stash(like I don't have enough already). My wife is about to kill me because i have so many quilts cut out and ready to sew together. I figure cut them out in the summer and sew in the winter. I'm dissabled so gives me plenty to do.
Once again, fabulous work. When i get mine done if its anywhere near as good as yours i would like to post alobg with you all.

Thanks

Wow...talk about a work of art...It is absolutely stunning, and I can only imagine that the picture doesn't do it justice.

So how large is this quilt finished, and how long did it take you to make it.

Thanks for sharing
