Ocean Memories

I made this quilt for my sister-in-law, Lorrie. She moved to Florida, but still loves the New Jersey beaches the best.

Because the NJ beaches are what is special to Lorrie, her special peaceful place, I made her this quilt. I wanted to show her with this "no special occasion" gift that she is loved and special to God, and he loves giving her good gifts, gifts that show that he knows what she loves and delights in blessing her.

I used Snails Trail blocks made with ocean blue batik (I think they look like waves) I placed a large quilted landscape scene in the center, based on a photo of a New Jersey beach.

As I recall, snails tail blocks were either 10 inch or 12 inch.
