This quilt is a special gift for my nephew who is graduating this spring. It will be his first quilt, so I put a lot of quilting in this--close to 4,000 yards to make it quite durable for a dorm room or first apartment. Vibrant colors and bold graphic impact to break up the dull biege of dorm rooms and apartments. Machine pieced and machine quilted in 3 months.

Beautiful Design/Pattern

I love the color play and motion of your quilt design! I'm not familiar with this pattern. It looks like it was worth every minute you spent on it. I bet your nephew cherishes it. Thanks for sharing!

longarm?

Very nice quilt. I like your quilting and you're right it should hold up to much loving. Did you quilt it on a longarm? I use my traditional machine and have been trying to improve.

yardage on quilt
by: Dinah

I am amazed. Your quilt is beautiful and surely will last a life time. Please tell me how you can use 4000 yards of fabric or was it thread. I just could not believe this, but I am a novice and dream
of making a wonderful quilt like yours one day. Right now I just sew simple squares together.

Thank you so much!
Dinah
