Free Motion Quilting Railroad Tracks Problem

Why do my stitches look like railroad tracks on the back of my quilt and not single stitches when I am doing free motion quilting?

Reply:

This all comes down to a tension issue.

You'll also hear quilters refer to this "look" on the back of the quilt as "eyelashing".
